September 20, 2017 was a day that our church was forever changed. It is the day hurricane Maria destroyed our island. Maria completely destroyed our Worship Pavilion and damaged our other structures.
Although our hearts were broken, our church, our members, stood strong. We continued to meet for services on the slab where our Worship Pavilion once stood.
We immediately began serving our community.
Then we began to repair the structures Maria so badly damaged.
These repairs are ongoing as so much was damaged. This was our Worship Pavilion before hurricane Maria.
This same space after Maria, empty and bare.
We are beyond excited and grateful that we completed Phase I and are nearly done with Phase II of our rebuild project. The new Worship Pavilion is up, the sound shack is built and the coffee bar is up and running!!!
We have our main structures up and functional but, we still have a lot of work to do to fully recover from Hurricane Maria. Our next plans are to permanently install our audio cables, add lighting to the worship pavilion, and complete the deck off the coffee bar. After that we still have to purchase and install outdoor screens for announcements and lyrics, as well as get a couple more pieces of audio/video equipment to make our live streamed worship services better. There are also still repairs to be completed on the office, bathrooms, and school house.
We are beyond grateful for each and everyone of you that has supported us financially by donating to our rebuild, physically by volunteering, and spiritually by praying over us. With your continued support we know that we will make a full recovery. Here are 3 opportunities you have to support our rebuild.
1. Donate to our rebuild.
Donations can be mailed directly to our church at:
